I titled this Fascist Doctrine 1. I don’t know if there will be more, but I called it 1 just in case there is. This is just me trying to process through where they’re coming from and what they actually propose.
Fascism starts from discontent with the liberal order.
Problems with the Liberal Order according to Fascists
International finance capital
Fascists aren’t against the market system, but they do believe multinational corporations, in the name of profits, are responsible for cheating workers in wages and destroying jobs at home when they offshore production in search of lower costs.
Individualism and Freedom
Fascism sees individuals as inextricably linked to the society in which they live. Apart from the society, man ceases to be human. Fascism believes a populace under individualism becomes acquiescent. It wants liberty but doesn’t understand what it should be used for. It tolerates things that should be intolerable. Fascism sees the freedom of the liberal order as detrimental, because individuals focus energies on things that aren’t in the collective interest.
Materialism
Fascism says the materialist conception of happiness is equated with well-being, and reduces individuals to the level of animals, caring only for their physical existence.
Liberal democracy
Fascism sees liberal democracy as a doctrine of men’s equality. But denies that equality and believe individual men to be born unequal in abilities. They see this inequality as beneficial and fruitful, and trying to level the field through universal suffrage is a struggle against reality.
Fascism is also dead-set against the Marxist solutions to the liberal order. Particularly Marxists belief that the proletariat class has any international connection. Fascists believe that workers in a country have much more in common with the elites of that country through common culture and language than workers across borders. Marx thought in terms of class consciousness, Fascists think in terms of national consciousness.
Fascism’s Answers:
Economic
A corporate state where unions of all levels would cooperate to increase wealth for all sectors of the national economy. A protectionist economy that puts national industry and workers first.
Rights
Individual rights are given when individuals work towards the collective good, as defined by the State.
Spiritual purpose
Fascism combats the individualism and decadence of liberal societies by giving spiritual purpose to humans by teaching them service to a greater good- the collective society, and in sacrifice and self-denial to the ideal of the nation. This ideal of sacrifice, self-denial, and finding purpose through working towards the greater good is seen as spiritual rather than materialistic.
Elections on some local levels, but the Fascist conception of the state is not up for a vote. They will impose discipline and direction if it isn’t adhered to voluntarily.
