Sept 10, Friday

Having spent the night downtown, we got up and walked a few minutes over to the Pike Place
Market and saw the sights.

Then we got some Lime scooters and took them over to
the Space Needle. Fantastic views and while the weather was cloudy, it wasn’t
low clouds, so we could see perfectly.

Next, we went to the Chihuly Glass Gardens, which was right
next door.

Then we scootered, mostly, up to Kerry Park to catch a view of the
city skyline.

After that we were exhausted from walking, so we went back,
got the car and drove for a bit.

We took I-90 east over Mercer Island to
Bellvue and had every intention of coming back across to downtown, but it was a
toll road, we weren’t sure how it would work, we were already tired of traffic
and walking, so we just decided to go north to Whidbey Island to visit Shell’s
aunt. You have to get there by a ferry,

and by 4p or so, we were up at her
place by a small lake.

It’s pretty much a forest there, and she has deer roam
through her yard all the time.

We ate Mexican food that night, went back to the house and
just relaxed and talked.
