I was probably 13-14 or so, and I was playing around with the kids on our street. I found a length of metal pipe around 3 feet long, and told one of my friends to pitch a basketball to me. In my mind I was going to hit it like a baseball. As the ball came towards me and I swung around to hit the basketball, the metal pipe bounced off the inflated basketball, came back towards me and decked me in the forehead. I drop the pipe and start screaming. My friends are all laughing at me. They said: yeah we could see your tonsils and everything ‘cuz you had your mouth so wide open screamin’. My response is: Shut up, It’s not funny!! 

But of course, it was. Which is why I’m retelling the story here.
