In honor of all the unsung heroes working at fast-food joints around the country, providing us with quick and cheap food options, I’ll relate a story or two from when I worked at Carl’s Jr, a fast food place, my senior year in high school.  
While there, I was working the register one day around Christmas time and lady came and asked me kind of quietly, on the sly, about one of the seasonal holiday offerings: “Is the eggnog shake any good?” 

I don’t really know why I did this, but I glanced to the left, glanced to the right, and then slowly shook my head back and forth- Nope. She leans in and almost gratefully whispers, “Oh, thanks.” 

Funny thing is, I never even tasted the eggnog shake. I think I was just inspired to respond that way because she asked me like she was looking for insider information, which, to be fair, she was. I played along in the funniest way I could think of at the moment.
