Jane Eyre – 2-24 Marjolein Bastin edition

I’ve finished up this version of Jane Eyre. Well, it’s not really a different book version, the text is all the same, but it’s a pretty hardback, and it has nice illustrations of flowers and some extra supplementary materials in it too. I did note that the text here was divided into two ‘volumes’; the first containing twenty chapters, the second containing 18. It seems most of the editions don’t divide the book into two volumes, they just divide it into the 38 chapters.

But at any rate, LOVE the book even more, LOVE Jane even more, I continue to find so much beauty in the writing and the book. I’m hoping to get more insight to the book when I read Elizabeth Gaskell’s biography of Charlotte Bronte. That doesn’t get to my house until somewhere between Aug 21 and 28.
