My breakfast usually consists of coffee and some sort of pastry. On good days, I go to a coffee shop and get a cappuccino and some sort of yum; a ‘yum’ being some sort of danish, scone, croissant, etc. If either my yums go bad, or something happens, we have a few quicky substitutes at the office, one of which is pop-tarts. Now I love pop-tarts, but I’ve always found them kind of a gyp. (Jip, gip, gyp…. not sure how it’s spelled but we used to say this as kids a LOT) I mean the box shows this delicious pastry with a beautiful smooth, full covering of frosted goodness. See below.

THAT’S what I’m expecting, because that’s what the box promises. But when you take an actual pop-tart outta the pack… this is what you get:

No, you don’t get an extra heart-shaped cookie in there, that’s another office freebie that was in the break room. What you get is a pastry with a slight smear of frosting on there. What else can you say except, what a gyp! And it’s always been like this too. Ever since I was a kid.
Well, cheap bastards at pop-tart, time to get your act together and give the customers what you’ve promised, or I’ll….. well… who am I kidding, I didn’t even buy these, they were office freebies. But still, just put more frosting on the pop-tarts!
