Traditional Christmas Stuff

So there are some traditional Christmas things that I’ve never actually done.

1) Read Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

I’ve been on a reading binge for the last 4.5 years, and during that time, I’ve included a bunch of Dickens novels. But probably the most famous, A Christmas Carol, I’ve never actually read. I’ve not bothered since I’ve seen so many tv versions and adaptations. But this year, I’ve decided to read it, right before Christmas. Already bought my copy.

2) Seen It’s a Wonderful Life

I’ve seen parts of it, but never actually watched the entire movie. This is part of a wider problem (if we’re going to call it that, of not having seen lots of older film classics. I just haven’t bothered to watch many of them. But this is one that seems to pop up frequently when people are talking about things they do at Christmas.

Same goes for White Christmas; I’ve never actually seen it.

3) Made a Gingerbread house

I love gingerbread cookies….and I love houses, but I’ve never made a gingerbread house.

I’m going to remedy at least one of these things this year. Maybe I should find time to watch It’s a Wonderful Life and make a gingerbread house too.
