Listening to some podcasts featuring a trauma psychologist named Sadia Khan, and she mentioned that one of the main things women ought to be looking for in a man is self-control. Being a high-value man is one who has complete and utter self-control. Meaning he tries to control his mind, body, and soul in a way that leads to positive long-term outcomes for you as a man. Someone who can resist short-term desires and short-term temptations for long-term goals. Such a man can’t be shaken. But a man with no self-control can be distracted by any woman or any money. Having an identity that is constructed on self-control will make you high-value.
I think this is interesting. In some areas I have shown good self-control, in other areas I haven’t. But I’m working on being better in all areas.
